Poetry

Jess Lynn began writing poetry in high school and has been practicing ever since. Some of her influences include Maya Angelou, Rupi Kaur, and Mary Oliver.

In 2020, she won the Arts Council of York County’s annual literary competition with her poem “What We Got to Be Scared Of?”

Coming Soon: Waking Wildflowers

Releasing on the summer solstice, June 21, 2023, Waking Wildflowers is Jess Lynn’s first collection of poetry. Waking Wildflowers explores the journey of healing, from the discomfort of shedding your old skin to learning to be gentle with oneself.

Rooted in nature, hope, and desparation, Waking Wildflowers takes the reader through the tremulous seasons of waking up to wholeheartedness.

The Wistful Wild Poetry Anthology

Love and lost chances, innocence and scars. Enchantments and adventure. Magic spells and bloodied keys. Freedom and silence.

Words caught in a thimble, a feather, the teeth, the earth.

The Wistful Wild: Fairy Tale poems of Longing and Ferocity is out now! You can order it wherever books are sold.

Wildflowers Magazine

Jess Lynn is a regular poetry contributor to the seasonal magazine, Wildflowers: a creative magazine for girls (2020 - present).
